What is a Teaching and Engagement Librarian?

A Teaching and Engagement Librarian (TEL) works as a liaison between the departments and the library. Each academic department has their own TEL and they work with the department to

  • ensure the library has the resources the department needs for teaching and research,
  • help support staff and students in using the library 
  • provide information literacy teaching and training to staff and students.
