What do the Essential/Recommended/Further categories mean?

An “Essential” item is classed as vital to students' understanding and completion of the module.
A “Recommended” item will strongly support students’ understanding of the module.
“Further” items are examples of resources to support students’ individual background research and assignments. Further reading resources should be taken from material already available via the Library or freely on the web.
